Diesel C5 maintenance (HDi, BlueHDi)
Diesel Citroen C5 models commonly use HDi and BlueHDi engines, where correct oil specification and service timing are key for long-term turbo and emissions-system health. Many variants are fitted with a DPF (often shown as FAP in engine descriptions), so regular servicing and the right driving pattern help reduce soot-loading issues. If your engine uses a timing belt, follow the correct distance and time limits, as some schedules are time-led even on lower-mileage cars. For diesel C5s, also keep an eye on EGR-related running issues and address warning lights early rather than continuing to drive with poor performance.
