Petrol Megane service and maintenance
Renault Megane petrol engines such as TCe, SCe and RS variants still rely on regular oil and filter changes, with service intervals varying widely by generation and engine. Keep ignition components (spark plugs and coils) in good condition, and maintain the air filter to protect turbocharged TCe and higher-output RS applications. Coolant condition and accessory drive components should be checked to help prevent overheating and avoid unexpected breakdowns. If the engine management light comes on, read the stored fault codes before swapping parts, as fuelling and air-leak issues can share similar symptoms.
