Diesel Renault Master service considerations
The Renault Master range is heavily diesel-focused, spanning older DTi/Turbo D units through to common-rail dCi engines such as the 2.3 dCi (M9T) and 2.5 dCi (G9U). Oil and filter changes are the backbone of diesel longevity, but intervals vary widely across the family (from 7,500 km up to 40,000 km, and roughly 12 to 24 months depending on model and schedule). Many Masters use emissions hardware such as EGR and DPF (or FAP on some engines), so correct oil specification, careful monitoring of regeneration-related issues, and timely air and fuel filter servicing are especially important. Where your Master is FWD or RWD, ancillary layouts can differ, so always follow the procedures and checks for the exact engine variant.
