Find your vehicle
- step 1
Locate the battery
- step 2
Check the Negative (-) terminal clamp is tight
- step 3
Open the Positive (+) protective cover
- step 4
Check the Positive (+) terminal clamp is tight. CAUTION If using a spanner to tighten the terminal, be careful not to short it on the bodywork
- step 5
Check the battery is generally secure. If loose, tighten the battery retainer
- step 6
The battery retainer clamp position
- step 7
Tighten the retainer, if required, using a 13mm socket or spanner. Do not over-tighten as you may damage the battery casing
