Find your vehicle
 - step 1
The air filter is at the rear of the engine, it is difficult to access. Do not undertake unless you are mechanically competent

Start by removing the engine cover
 - step 3
Undo two retaining bolts on the brake fluid reservoir - use a Torx-20 socket
 - step 4
Move reservoir sideways to access the air intake
 - step 5
Undo circular clip on the air intake - use a 7mm socket or a screwdriver to do this
 - step 6
Undo the second circular clip on the air intake
 - step 7
Now release the air intake
 - step 8
Undo the MAF sensor plug
 - step 9
Remove rubber sealing strip
 - step 10
Release the plastic retaining clips that hold the engine insulation - use a screwdriver - relocate insulation if required to gain access to air filter
 - step 11
Undo the three 4mm Allen key retaining fixings
 - step 12
Remove both wiper blade arms - use a 16mm spanner
 - step 13
Remove the plastic moulding
 - step 14
Undo two retaining bolts on this crossbar - use a 10mm spanner
 - step 15
Remove the crossbar
 - step 16

Carefully lift away the air filter box
 - step 18
Air filter in position
 - step 19
Lift out the air filter - check condition
 - step 20
Clean off any debris on the surface of the filter. Replace with a new filter if heavily contaminated
 - step 21
Reassemble air filter, housing and ancillary parts
