What is the role of the battery in a Fiat Panda?

The battery is primarily used to start the engine and to power electrical equipment when the engine is off. When the engine is running, the alternator provides the energy needed by the various electrical systems. During this operating phase, the battery stores electrical energy in chemical form. There are three main types of lead/acid battery:
