The Volkswagen Crafter range is diesel-only and spans several TDI engines, including 2.0 TDI and 2.5 TDI variants, so routine service timing can differ by engine code and model year. For most Crafters, an engine oil and filter change is commonly scheduled every 15000-20000 km or 12 months, with the correct oil specification being critical for turbocharger protection and long service life. Diesel emission systems also benefit from regular inspection, so include checks for air leaks on induction hoses, condition of intercooler pipework, and any signs of EGR/DPF-related issues if performance drops or the engine management light appears.
